Average Sex are from London and are signed to Tim Burgess’ (of Charlatan’s fame) record label. I heard one of their early singles ‘Ice Cream’ earlier in the year and it almost made it onto Track of the Day for me back then. Glad I waited though, because this is even better. It sounds very post-punk, new wave to me. But summery too, if that isn’t some sort of misnomer.
