Emerging from the streets of Akron, Ohio, Jozey & The Corruption embodies the essence of heavy, classic, hard rock with their unapologetic throwback sleazy sound and high-octane performances. Rooted in the legacy of rock icons like Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crue, Black Label Society, KISS, L.A. Guns, Social Distortion, and more, the boys from A-Town deliver a relentless, gritty musical experience that electrifies audiences and leaves them gasping for air.
Back in 2018, frontman, vocalist, and lead guitarist Jozey was on a mission to bring back the raw energy and rebellious spirit of classic rock that he believed was missing from many modern bands. He immediately enlisted his musical blood brother, drummer Joey Fuego, to form an early three-piece version of The Corruption. The pair endured a series of lineup changes before finding the right like-minded musicians to make Jozey’s true vision a reality. Fuego stepped out from behind the kit to become the band’s bass player and, with guitarist Jerich-Oh and new drummer M.B., Jozey & The Corruption finally became the band Jozey always knew it could be.
Jozey & The Corruption have rapidly carved a niche for themselves in the music scene. Their 2022 debut, “One,” was named Best EP of the Year by the website Rock N’ Roll and Other Sounds, a testament to their dedication and prowess in crafting music and lyrics that resonate with fans and critics alike.
The band’s latest release, the highly anticipated “Being No. 2 Sucks” (June 2024), delivers even more of their signature sound and features the anthem “I Am Rock,” which has become a fan favorite in the band’s live set.
