Track of the Day: End of the World – Anti-Clone

Last month I featured “Human”, the title track of Anti-Clone’s upcoming EP as a Track of the Day. The band have now released a video for another track from the EP, “End of the World”.

About the song:

A softer track, “End of the World” focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic. It highlights what many of us have realised in the last two years that life is not long, and you have to make your time here count. It also highlights the fear of dealing with a completely unprecedented reality and staring into what felt like the end of the world as we know it. ~ Anti-Clone

The EP “Human” will be released on September 16th. I’ve been lucky enough to have heard the whole thing, and I love it. There are 4 tracks on the download version:

  1. Human
  2. Punish Me
  3. End of the World
  4. Spiteful

There’s a bonus track on the CD, “Army of Me”.

This is a powerful, melodic collection of tracks, with plenty of aggression and angst in the music and lyrics. The EP takes a look at the current state of the world and digs deep into human emotions and behaviour to pull out some important messages and commentary on the way we live today. It’s a thought-provoking look at life in the twenty-first century. An addictive collection of songs that will appeal to rock and metal fans. Anti-Clone are a talented band and it’s great to have new music from them after their 4-year hiatus.
