Track of the Day – CROWN LANDS “Sun Dance”

Crown Lands new self-titled album is a must-listen if you’re into rock’n’roll, especially if you like riffy, trippy rock with heart, soul, and purpose. This particular track from the album also has a real Led Zeppelin vibe, and while some of that 70’s sound is present in pretty much all their music, they also use that influence in interesting ways and with a real awareness of what they are using it for.

To quote Kevin Comeau (who plays guitar, bass, and keys in the band):

“People are going to listen to you, so you may as well say something that matters…I don’t play rock’nroll to talk about rock’n’roll, I play to talk about things that matter to me. I don’t need any more ‘Hey Mamas’ in my life.”
