Ok, so The Mysterines break a new record as the first band I’ve picked for track of the day five (yes five) times now. I know, but they keep bringing out singles and they keep being great. What else am I supposed to do?
This is a bit darker than their other stuff, a bit scuzzier maybe. Previously they’ve navigated through hard rock, garage rock and indie rock territory. This edges a little further into metal territory for me. Which is fine, because it’s still brilliant. It shows, I guess, that this is a band with way more scope than a lot of their contemporaries.
Great vocal from Lia Metcalfe as per usual, but then what else would you expect? Nice, somewhat manic video. Yeah, long may this run they’ve been on continue.
