A bit of a slower song today. I don’t usually pick acoustic stuff, but this is great. I picked a Chastity Belt song for track of the day back in January. And I said then that they have a sound which slots perfectly into the Washington/Oregon indie scene they’re a part of.
To me, this sounds more grungy somehow, reminds me for some reason of Pearl Jam. But the vocal is more West Coast alt-rock, think Best Coast and early Bleached. It’s pretty great anyway, very atmospheric. Another brilliant track from a very very good band.
