I usually try to write about music by bands and artists that are slightly less well known I guess. Just starting out maybe, or have more of a cult status. Kurt Vile is probably more high profile than most, but I’ve picked this just because I genuinely like it so much. It makes me happy every time I hear it.
He somehow makes the lyrics sound deep and profound, it’s very Dylanesque. But he is ultimately singing about parking spaces right? I love that. I love anything that manages to find poetry in the mundane. Along with that nice jangly guitar that reminds me of mid-career R.E.M. it’s a nice way to end the week I think.
Have a great weekend.
