Soccer Mommy is the moniker of Sophie Allison, an indie musician who has been releasing self-recorded material since 2015 and has, this year, released her debut label album Clean.
She quite often gets grouped with acts like Snail Mail and Japanese Breakfast because of the female indie/lo-fi vibe to her music. To me she sounds somewhere between Sheryl Crow and Declan McKenna. This track is from Clean which came out in March this year. It’s a decent record and one you’d be well advised to give a listen to.
