#NewMusicFriday Great new music you should hear

Continuing with the theme of ‘there are just too many new albums/songs being released these days and I can’t keep up with it all’ – today’s post is full of great new music and videos that I would love to feature as ‘track of the day’ but will probably not be able to do so as there are not that many days in the year! 🙂

The Virginmarys

The demo version of “Blind Lead The Blind (Through The Dark)” was recently available as a free download to fans who subscribed to the website. If you missed it, don’t worry as it will be featured on the new Virginmarys album, “Northern Sun Sessions”, later this year.

The band are currently offering another free demo download of an amazing song “Don’t Wanna Be Free”. Head over to the official website to download your copy: https://www.thevirginmarys.com/

The Virginmarys will be on tour in the UK this April. Details here: https://realrockandroll.wordpress.com/2018/02/11/virginmarys-northern-sun-tour/

Not strictly a new release, but a new video of an awesome song. Empyre recently appeared at Hard Rock Hell AOR. Here’s a video of their performance of “Something Remains”.

Catch them on tour:

Papa Roach

Papa Roach have just released a great new video for their track “None of the Above”, taken from their latest album , “Crooked Teeth.”

The Slow Readers Club

Slow Readers Club have released a new video for their latest track from their forthcoming album “Build A Tower”. “You Opened Up My Heart” was featured as a Track of the Day here earlier this month.

Don’t miss them on tour in the UK April/May:

Suicidal Tendencies

Suicidal Tendencies have an excellent new release, “Get Your Fight on!”

Here’s the latest video release from that EP:

Trapped In Static

I featured Trapped In Static’s new tune “Good Kids” as Track of the Day a couple of weeks ago.

They’ve since released another awesome track, “Born Again”.

Bauer posted an amazing demo version of Duran Duran’s hit “Planet Earth” this month.

Puppet Rebellion

Last year Puppet Rebellion performed a brilliant acoustic cover of “Ciao Adios” by Anne-Marie, on a live set for BBC Introducing.

They recently recorded a version of it in their own home studios. It’s the first self-produced track they’ve ever released. Check it out.

Monster Magnet

“I’m God” is the latest video release from Monster Magnet’s new album, “Mindfucker” (released 23rd March 2018). I’ve loved everything I’ve heard so far from this album.

Lost In Vancouver

I’ve been following Lost In Vancouver for a few years now. They always produce fantastic music. They have a new single “Rose In Retrospect”, released earlier this month.
