Track of the Day – BLOODY KNEES – Not Done

Bloody2

They may look and sound like a US West Coast band, but Bloody Knees are actually from Cambridge and London. They’ve toured with Wolf Alice and had a few EPs out over the last couple of years.

I was reading an interview with lead singer Bradley Griffiths where he referenced Slayer and early Metallica as influences, but here I think they’ve nailed the introspection, melody and sheer noise of alternative indie rock perfectly.

‘Not Done’ is from their EP Maybe it’s Easy which came out in October last year. Keep an eye out for this band, they’re going to be around for a while I think. And check out the title track from Maybe it’s Easy which is brilliant too and sounds a bit like Puddle of Mudd put through an edgy Britpop wringer.
