I’m becoming a fan of the Camden Rocks All-Dayers. It’s a great way to spend a day, and Proud Camden is a nice little venue. This Saturday, there were so many good bands on the list.
I’d never heard of this band before, but I looked them up on Youtube the day before the gig and thought they would be worth seeing. They put on a brilliant show, and I was glad I turned up early to catch them. They have some great songs. They played “Hazy”, “Into the Water”, and another song (I don’t know the title of it) that featured a saxophone and had an amazing instrumental part at the end. The band also played a new track that hasn’t been released, which I think was called “I Like to Roll”; it was a catchy tune. They finished with a song called “Pick Me Up”. Here’s their new video for that track:
It was an entertaining show, with some memorable moments. Definitely a band to watch.

Black Rose Cadillac
Black Rose Cadillac are the band that I most wanted to see at this event, and the reason I’d bought a ticket. I featured one of their tracks “Crazy” as Track of the Day last year and have really enjoyed listening to their music, so I was looking forward to their show. They put on an excellent performance. It was early in the day, so not many people had turned up to the venue yet, but that didn’t put them off. This band have some awesome rock songs and they are going from strength to strength with every new single they produce.
I’m most familiar with their recent songs, so there were a couple of tracks that they played that I didn’t recognise but they all sounded great. One of the highlights for me was their song “Hey Now!”. Here’s a snippet I captured at the gig, to give you an idea of what their show was like:
The band also treated us to their new single “Devil’s Road”. They finished the set with the song “Black Rose Cadillac”. It was a short set because of timing issues at the venue, but it was a brilliant performance. If you’re a rock fan, you should definitely try to catch this band live.

It’s always good when you turn up for these kinds of events and find a new band to love. Black Sixteen is a band I had never heard of and had only looked them up online a day before the gig and thought it would be good to check them out. I’m glad I did because they were amazing. They have a brooding, heavy rock/metal sound, and one of the highlights of the day for me was their cover of the Nine Inch Nails classic “Head Like a Hole”. They have some great original tracks too, a couple of which really stood out. I don’t know the names of the songs unfortunately 😦
Here’s a track I found online that gives you an idea of what they’re like:
They are playing the Camden Rocks Festival on 3rd June, so if you’re there I’d recommend you try and watch them.

Again, this was a band that I had never heard of. I was pleasantly surprised. The band were dressed all in white, which gave them an original look, and each band member had a powerful stage presence. They looked and sounded like they were already a famous rock band and had the attitude to match 🙂 They wasted no time in taking control of the crowd and used the whole stage as if it were an arena setting. As it was now early evening there was quite a large crowd gathered at Proud Camden and everyone seemed to be enjoying Lupus-Dei.
The band have punk rock sound. I enjoyed all the songs they played. A very entertaining band to watch.
