5 Music Blogs To Follow

Here at Real Rock and Roll and on our sister-site Soundwaves Review, we love discovering and promoting the best new independent music.

Here’s a shout out to some of our hard-working fellow bloggers around the globe who are helping to promote new music. Without these sites many bands would not be able to reach a wider audience.

The 5 blogs listed here are some of the best we’ve found. If you know of other sites that have great music content, please feel free to comment below with a link to the blogs. We’d love to check them out! 🙂

Eclectic Music Lover

Blog: https://eclecticmusiclover.com/

My music tastes are very eclectic – I love classic and alternative rock, 80’s punk & techno, soul, R&B, funk, grunge, pop, EDM, synth-pop, Brit-pop, hip-hop, some rap, classical, blues and light jazz. Not a huge fan of Country, though there are some in that genre I do like.

Each week I post my Top 10 or 20 favorite songs, and occasionally post lists of favorite songs for a specific year or decade, or a particular theme of interest. I enjoy discovering and supporting newer indie artists and bands, so I write reviews or articles about them from time to time. Also, I share interesting articles or commentaries written by others about the music industry, as well as music videos I really like.

Great Music Stories

Putting the storytelling back into rock

The rock world in Britain today gives music lovers a reason to be excited. Across all corners of the UK, there is a new generation of bright young bands emerging, creating great music and working really hard to travel the country and put on great gigs. As I have discovered more of these bands I have developed an interest in giving many of these bands a voice. So many of them don’t get the airtime they deserve […]

Many of the interviews I have done I have then aired on my rock show on Meridian FM – other interviews I have organised have been done at festivals and for other platforms. […]

Giving a website home for these interviews enables music fans to also discover new bands in one place.
