Track of the Day: Tokyo Taboo – Make It Out Alive

13533293_1284162374929096_1392099655139660788_nMy track of the day is “Make It Out Alive” by the awesome Tokyo Taboo. I found out about this band on Twitter. Their debut album, “6th Street Psychosis”, is due to be released on the 30th of September.

Make It Out Alive is the first single from the album. It’s a powerful anti-war song. It is also a fantastic rock song. I am looking forward to hearing more from this talented band.

The band statement on Youtube about this track is:

This song was written in response to the UK government’s decision to bomb Syria last year. We are tired of taxes paying for wars that never work whilst the government cuts funds to education and public services. If Iraq has taught us anything it is that war is a last resort and one that rarely achieves anything. This video conveys the reality of war. The innocent people we kill for no reason.

STRONG IMAGERY OF VIOLENCE THAT YOU MAY FIND UPSETTING! Watch with caution!
