New Album! ‘Full Grown Woman’ by JUGGERNAUGHT

Juggernaught has to be one of the weirdest, freakiest, creative bunch of hard rockers I’ve ever come across. They’ve recently released their third album, called Full Grown Woman, and I don’t know that I’ve ever laughed so much while listening to music. At the same time, I’m struck by the intensity, talent, and fusion of styles these guys manage, while never seeming to take themselves seriously. The experience certainly keeps us listeners slightly off balance. We go from full-on hard rock, to funk, to jazz, with lyrics bordering on angry, then comical, then honest, sometimes all within the same song. I mean, seriously, I think the singer burps partway through Kick Like a Mule. This album is anything but routine. Juggernaught defies genre expectations and all mainstream music boundaries.

Here’s a look at Full Grown Woman:

The first single the band released off the album is Waiting. This video is… well… a part of me wants to stick pins in my eyes to make the images go away, and another part of me is still giggling.

Now, if your eyes remain intact, this is their second single, Devil’s In The Retail. This is provocative social commentary, done with a comic spin.

The Juggernaught guys are from Pretoria, South Africa. Full Grown Woman is a fully independent album, self-produced and self-recorded, and is considered the band’s “dirtiest, funkiest and weirdest piece of Lumber Funk yet.”

And here is the band, in all their… glory?
