I first came across Misteridge when I was blogging on the UK Arts Directory. He is a very talented soul singer/songwriter. I was a big soul fan back in the ’80s, obsessed with artists like Luther Vandross and Michael Jackson. Misteridge’s sound reminds me of the best of that era. He has a beautiful, expressive voice, and his music is smooth and fresh; the influences of great soul artists can be heard in his songs, but it has a very modern sound. He’s bringing real soul music back for the next generation of music lovers.
Check out the video for his gorgeous song, “Hopes and Dreams”.
You can find more of his music on his Reverbnation channel. Misteridge has today added a new song to his playlist there, which I think perfectly showcases his talent; it’s a fabulous original cover of the Bellamy Brothers’ classic, “Let Your Love Flow”. I love what he’s done with the song. It’s a perfect cover version because it takes the song and adds something unique.
Brilliant, isn’t it?
