I’ve been following Alice Sweet Alice (ASA) for a few years now. This is a band that is not easily defined in terms of the type of music they produce. They are a rock band with a very original slant because their music doesn’t really fit in to any particular category! It’s Rock, Metal, Alternative, Progressive, and Classic Rock; also, they switch from male to female vocals for different songs.
The band will release their new album “Viola Organista… and Other Impossible Dreams” on April 23rd in multiple formats, including digital download, CD, cassette tape, and vinyl.
ASA will have their first show since the summer of 2014 on the album’s release day, at All Star Rock Bar (7210 NE 43rd St, Kansas City, Missouri. Tickets are $7 at the door and $10 for 21 and under.)
The first single from the album, “Daredevil”, with accompanying video shot and produced by Japanese videographer Yohei Ishihama, will be released in the week of April 6th.
You can currently order the CD (signed) from the band’s website.
If you’re new to the band, you can hear some of their music on Reverbnation: https://www.reverbnation.com/alicesweetalice/songs
The band will be starting their 2016 tour with shows in the Midwest, currently being arranged. Keep an eye on the band’s main website for details: http://www.alicesweetalice.com.
